Problem
In the demanding journey of motherhood, many new moms find themselves struggling with the challenges of isolation, limited time, and a desperate need for meaningful connections.
Approach
I wanted to cater to the emotional needs of new moms in a way that regular social media does not.

Stuck in this never-ending loop of feeding, diaper changes, and calming the baby, us moms barely have a moment to breathe, let alone catch up with a partner, friend, or family. It's like we're in our own little world of baby duties.
Sadly, just when we're desperate for some connection and understanding, we find ourselves lonelier than ever. Mom life, right? It's a constant juggle, and sometimes, we're the ones who could use a little soothing and understanding.
MyCliq keeps track of your friend groups in a visual map that shows how long you have been friends. You can invite friends to groups or make new ones.
A study by the British Red Cross found that more than 8 in 10 mums (83%) under the age of 30 have feelings of loneliness some of the time, while 43% said they feel lonely all of the time. Another survey found that 90% of new mums felt lonely since giving birth with over half (54%) feeling they had no friends.
With options for anonymous chat, you can ask your mom friends anything in a truly safe space. The Deep Conversation prompt allows friend groups to start meaningful conversations with ease.
After surveying new moms from the ages 25-40, I found over 67% of them felt disconnected from friends and family, and 78% felt lonely more than 4 times a week.
Painpoints:
the lack of emotional support and the lack of energy to maintain friendships due to the demands of motherhood.
How might we help new moms maintain connections with friends during their motherhood journey, which can often feel lonely and isolating?

What I learned…
From this project, I learned a lot about importance of the UX/UI process methods. I also learned a lot about managing a UX design project from start to finish without a team. Being organized with my files, and my time was a crucial component to finishing this project.
With more time, I would love to dig deeper into the UX/UI design to create a flawless system that evokes ease and delight.
